Investment Banking Representative
The Series 79 exam qualifies individuals to work as investment banking representatives. It tests knowledge of the advisory and analytical activities involved in mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity offerings, financial restructuring, and other corporate finance activities. This exam is required for individuals who advise on or facilitate debt or equity securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, tender offers, financial restructurings, asset sales, divestitures, or other corporate reorganizations.
